Incentives for Solar Energy

Commercial/Industrial Clients

Taxable commercial/industrial businesses and other entities are currently eligible for the largest government incentives for the production of solar energy.  Not only will solar energy production offset the electrical demands of your facility, but installing solar also makes a statement about the commitment of your business to the production of sustainable and renewable clean energy.  The public relations benefits of visible solar installations often outweigh the added costs of solar energy production.

Federal Tax Credit

The Federal government offers a 30% tax rebate of the net system cost of solar power systems.

Modified Accelerated Cost-Recovery System (MACRS)

An additional tax credit advantage of an accelerated 5-year depreciation of your net solar system investment. These provisions are found in IRC section 179.

Residential Customers

A 10 kilowatt (kW) PV system can meet up to 100 percent of a typical home’s electrical demand.  During a given year, a 10kW system eliminates approximately:

15 tons of CO2
41 pounds of NOX
163 pounds of SO4.

This is the equivalent to planting approximately four acres of trees.  Whether you are planning new construction or interested in solar design and installation on your current residence, ARM Energy Solutions can provide you with a solar solution to fit your budget and your renewable energy needs.

Solar Rebate Programs by State

Solar Programs in various states have been developed to assist with initial capital costs. Please visit the following website to find information about state and local programs for which you may be eligible.

Federal Tax Credit

Homeowners are eligible to receive a 30% tax credit of the installed cost of the system, currently limited to $2,000.

Please note: Incentives may change without notice. Please confirm the status of current incentives with an AES representative.
